Best way to get Bonding Runestones?

Aside from the auction, I was wonder what is the best way to get these. A friend told me to open New Life Lockboxes, but I have not ahd any luck with them. Is there a better lockbox for them?

    Any one of the lockboxes that contain the Companion Augmentation Packs. Bonding Runestones only have a very small chance to drop from those packs but at least it's an upgrade from Lessers which you get from the zen store when purchasing a companion. There is also a (minor) chance to get Lesser Bonding Runestones during the Winter Festival from gift swapsies, but you really need to put in an effort. They come from the Chicken, Cockatrice, Black Ice Prospector and Thaumaturge packs. I got a handful of them during last year's event.

    you can get perfects from the really expensive new life pack.

    Which has lots of other really expensive items in it.

    or you could just buy the 3 perfects and upgrade them over the course of a couple of months or something.. thats what I did last christmas..
