Can the game client patching download be paused?

Hi,
Would anyone know if its possible to pause the download the client is doing? I've noticed there's a stop button but no pause?
Would the stop button totally cancel all I've downloaded?

Just stop it, it will resume more or less from where it stopped.
When you start it again next time the percentage will start from 0, because it shows the current download 'session' so don't worry about it, you will see that the total size is what left from last time.
