    One thing that has bothered me the most about the OP nerfs is that they is no scaling to damage anymore.

    For example a GF has its basic mitigation like the OP but its mechanic is to further mitigate the damage via the shield which cuts a percent of damage out. OP tanks simply have an over shield equal to its health so if gear doesn't scale enough to compensate for its lack of mitigation then we will simply get worse and worse and the gf stronger and stronger in comparison.

    I feel this is just a band-aid by developers that do not understand the OP or simply don't care it's really frustrating to have everything you worked for ruined in one single update.

    You guys complain and say the OP was able to overcome complex mechanics with the bubble etc well yeah nerf it to 60% then its not overcoming any mechanics at all is it really and that's all that needed to be done. You also mention the FBI final boss fight 1 shot mechanic like its something special its easy as HAMSTER... He does ice animation? Cool... lets move to the opposite side of the room... OH? He's doing his 1 shot with a 1 hour animation and visual.... guess its time to hide behind the ice!

    It's not complex... its not difficult and no one needs a pally to avoid such a basic and primitive mechanic which have been around MMOs for a very long time.

    I've seen videos of Pallys tanking CN at 3,500ilvl on PC the guy was forced to use relentless avenger on the adds just to give himself breathing room so he could survive this is totally obscene no one wants pallys pushing NPCs about because they can't take a few hits we are going to be totally obsolete vs. the gf

    I've been tanking in different MMO games for a while and this is the first I've ever seen a game completely change the basics of the powerset. Nerfs/changes here and there sure for balancing but to completely change it? Its just insanity and with this I'm sadly going to either quit or start all over again on a control wizard and I can assure you I will no longer be putting in money for lock-boxes or progression or be gunning for max ilvl as i simply won't give a HAMSTER anymore

    And that is the crux of the problem, we no longer have any abilities that reduce incoming damage by a percentage, except for Dailies. So while the GF can mitigate incoming damage using a second layer with the shift mechanic, the OP needs to use a Daily and wait until his AP bar is recharged in order to do it again. In the meantime, they have to make do with the normal DR and additional bars of health (shields and temp HP). The result is that the OP will always take much more damage than the GF does, and when hits stack up, shields and temp HP just cant keep up with the damage.

    On the other hand, the GF will always mitigate 80% of the incoming damage with his shield and only receive the other 20%. That 20% will then be mitigated by the GF's DR from stats. I'm sorry but the paladin just cannot match that with the current changes.
