Damage calculation

Does a damage resistance debuff (let's say dread enchantment as an example) add to existing buffs or multiply existing buffs? In other words, let's say the enemy now has 10% less damage resistance and you buff your own damage by 10%; will this effectively add 0.1 to the existing buff (so 1+0.1+0.1 = 1.2 total) or will it multiply (1.1*1.1 = 1.21 total). It's a minor difference so it's difficult to test on xbox to the necessary accuracy.

    Buffs multiply versus debuffs.

It's a huge difference once you start stacking a large amount of buffs and debuffs.

Buffs multiply against other buffs (ex: EmpBtS, Destroyer stacks, Longstriders)

Damage Resistance debuffs add with other damage resistance debuffs. (ex: Divine Glow, Mark, Swath of Destruction)

Defense debuffs add with other defense debuffs (Ex: T. Frost or Dancing Shield debuff).

Dread is a bit wonky in the buff/debuff section. It reduces the mitigation of your debuffs, and if the Dread is Transcendent and the Dread user scores a crit, you also get a damage resistance debuff on top of that.

Multiplier debuffs multiply versus buffs and other debuffs (Dreadtheft, Quarry, and Ambush are the only ones like this in the game I think)

Calling @thefabricant as well as @michela123 to explain this better than I can/fact-check to see if I've been reading their stuff correctly.

I think you asking about the order of the math.
Damage resistance is the last calculation in the chain of maths, damage increase it's a net increase in your power's tooltip, so let's say your Sure Strike hits for 1'000 damage, a 10% increase will make this a 1'100 damage in the tooltip description
Then we have damage resistence debuff which increase 10% of that damage, so you end up dealing 1210 damage.
Also theres post-mitigation damage (enemy takes increased damage from all sources) like Condemned, which is calculated at the end of everything and behaves like another layer of damage resistence debuff.
In neverwinter buffs and debuffs stack each other making you hit for millions in the end.
