Total Team ILVS vs Total Team ILV (3 vs 5 for instance)

Hi Guys
Idk if this has been already proposed, but would'nt it be a good idea if the Devs could make a matchmaking based on the Total Team IL
one team has vs the other?
I mean making matchmaking of 3 players(4k each one) vs 5 players(2.4k each) for instance where the Total ILV Matches would somehow be a fair fight...?
Sorry in advance if my idea is not well explained. (English is not my 1st Language)
Regards

Yes, this has been posted 100x over but there are major flaws in why it wont work.

    1) Your proposal of TEAM Item Level isnt a good one. Why? Because I would gladly take 1x 4.3K + 4x 2k Ilevel player (12.3K Item Level total) over 5x 2,460 I level players.

Why? Because that 4.3K player could probably 5v1 and if not, could easily 3v1 or 4v1. Meaning it would be an unfair fight.

    2) This leads us to making it based on Item Level "bracket" for each player. Like some propose. <3k for instance. 3.01K - 4k. 4.01k+ Etc You get the idea. This wont work because all players will do is gear swap. Throw on their 2k Gear, or just UNEQUIP an item so they show as lower gear score than they really are, when Que Pops, they put back on the item... Or maybe they accept Que pop and once in domination, they change out gear.

    3) So then people propose "why not lock your gear when you que for PVP" this is also a bad idea. I cant tell you how many times I forget to check what gear I have when I que up for PVP. Ive gone into PVP wearing full PVE gear before without realizing it until 1:00 into a match and my HP drops in 2 seconds from no tenacity. I then swap my gear over and proceed. Or how many times I have sat in que for 5-10+ minutes and wanted to run around doing some HEs or other PVE stuff, and didnt want to be forced to keep my PVP gear on while doing PVE while waiting for a Que pop. Gear locking on Que, means that you are basically forced to sit in your SH or PE not doing any PVE because your forced to wait for PVP to Pop. When you have long que times, this is VERY boring.

    4) All of this, BTW, also fails to recognize that Gear Score is a horrendous measure of players power. If you have an unguilded 4k player against a guilded 4k Player, the player with the SH Boons will dominate that match. Boons do not increase/decrease ItemLevel.... Neither do a TON of other things like mount bonuses for example. Also Tenacity isnt effecting ItemLevel... Talk about a MAJOR difference there... a 4K PVE 0 tenacity player versus a 4k PVP max tenacity player?! Talk about a difference....

    5) So now you have to create "itemlevel" for boons/mount bonuses/tenacity etc. All this, and you still havnt avoided problems 1-3...

    What IS a better way?
I have posted on this many times. The SINGLE BEST solution to fixing PVP is to reduce the gear gap. This "ItemLevel" talk is ONLY a problem because the power gap between a 4k player or 3k player is IMMENSE! Especially if its an unguilded 3k player versus a 4k BIS SH Boon character....

So why not remove ALL the boons (except the PVP Boons) and ALL the mount bonuses and ALL the tenacity on gear. Why tenacity on gear? Because THEN they can add it to the base of everyplayer for free - without needing gear. Give everyone a 75%-80% damage mitigation versus other players. Maybe add some CC resist and ARP resist too, but that should be plenty to diminish damage in PVP.

Now step back and look at what you did.
Players "power gap" is much smaller, as you literally removed tens of thousands of stats between players via removing boons/SHboons/Mount bonuses. Players can ALSO now do all their PVE stuff while in PVE gear AND do PVP in PVE gear because there is no tenacity on gear any more.

A player can play the way they want to and it will be much friendlier in PVP since now everyone will have the same "tenacity" level the same "boons" and the same "mount bonuses" (ZERO on all of them haha!) making it a level playing field.

Youre right , didn't considered Stronghold Boons and Mounts Stats. But somehow i believe Cryptic won't like your idea , since Tenacity forces everyone to spend more time on game farming for another set, Stronghold Bonuses and Mount Bonuses are game breaking definitely but its the idea of competition what drives this game(pvp and pve) so every guild will try to get those boons and will spend more money and time in game.
PVP is all about competition so i believe Cryptic believes "why not let the people have a little edge/advantage in pvp, for the people who pay for it." (Isn't Making Money the final objective for them?)
I mean lets be honest, a lot of people join pvp mainly because of PUG Stompin, because this Unlevel field is not fun for pugs but its somehow empowering to those people who can afford better Gear, enchants, mounts.

Yup, but at the same time these things are not a "little edge" they are what decides who wins or loses.

Like I said, a 4K player who is guilded versus a 4k player who isnt, the one who has SH will win. Its not a matter of skill when you get an extra 16k stats.

These "ideas" of tenacity and SH boons and mount bonuses are all NOT bad ideas to have in PVP. The issue is NWs population size doesnt support that level of gear gap.

The smaller the population, the less allowable gear gap, the larger the population, the larger the allowable gear gap. PVP has a small population and so does NW, therefore the "allowable" gear gap in PVP must be small.

Removal of tenacity is supposed to remove the barrier for players to PVP. Back in module 0 (*before any modules) there was no tenacity. PVP was vibrant as PVE players could que up for a quick game inbetween dungeon runs... They didnt have to have multiple gear sets, enchants etc. So players could PVP in their PVE gear and not have a problem.

Now you cant do that. The population is too segregated. They need to remove barriers to PVP. THis means removing gear restrictions (tenacity) and removing the BIG power advantages from mounts/boons/SH boons.

Its the only way this game will work
