Rant and AD/Loot Feedback.

Did the Devs go on a weekend holiday/spa retreat again.

Im kinda anoyed atm, we get these bombshells and then oops, its weekend and everything drops to a halt.

I know some people in the gaming industry, i get to listen to them now and then in social events, mostly about the weather, nothing work related.
But when they do talk about work, (mostly their own cos im interested and im a mere woodworker),
and about a thing like this or new content release.

What i have heard and noted is this:

Their workgroups/team intensify their efforts on team communication, customer/developer communication and overseeing the implementations and fixes to go by the books and smoothly.

They dont just drop off, cos its a weekend, they have weeks of hard work 8-12 hour days before and after release to make sure the stuff works and the feedback from customers is heard. And before that, theres the weeks of testing to gather and communicate feedback and make some tweaks.
So that the patch to be released is IN TESTING about 1-2 weeks before launch and not 1-2 days prior to lauch. There is always something that might cause problems and might take longer to fix than 1-2 days.

That last 2 weeks of testing and the first 2 weeks on the liveside are critical, if the customers see no major feedback and communication from the devs, they lose a lot of trust. And if the bugs are left in WAITING-mode.

And when the patch pre-post-strech is done, its back to the sweet routine of work, unless u get to be on call.
BUT still keeping communications, feedback responsivenes up and running, prioritizing workloads to bring down bugs and doing patching on regular basis.
The post-patches, conserning the upgrade and running content are delivered CONSTANTLY, not weeks apart or months AFTER the release.

Using proper working timelines and resource management, they can "see" how large content upgrades/development pieces can they do, without dropping it to a state of infinite fixes,
and still retain the BASIC SUPPORT(feedback, communications, bug fixing, etc.) for customers.

Your contents (mods, powers, the works) pre- and post-development, communication and patching sucks,
sorry but thats the way it is. Just look at the rolling bugs thread on CW.

The hickup is mostly in post-communication and post-developing/feedback/patches.

Amenar was a great dev, he kept us in the balance loop the whole time and pulled the thing off, it was great and rewarding to see him and us working on the issues.
But again, the post-stuff flat out dropped away. It was again stuck in WAITING-mode hell.

They promised us more sustained dev/player communication and bug/fix works, where is it? i cant see it, unless we start a shitstorm like with this "keygate" issue.
And what did we get then? 1 post from panderus VS 1.3k gamer lynchmob posts

The Keygate change GOT put up in preview, thank you for that at least.

But no word on loot, loot-tables or how to test it without multiple keys?, again, post framework blunder.

Some key notes.

You really need to review the management of the game and the required amount of time and recources it truly takes to pull this kind of HAMSTER off.

Are you remotely capable of handling things on your end to the satisfaction of your players and customers?

What can be done about it?, just skulking and lurking quietly in the backround is a VERY bad idea.

What can we expect?, be truthfull, give us timelines or are things so messed up, that you cant even properly inform us about upcoming bug fixes and what is on the horizon for us?

Who is the main man to go, when the HAMSTER hits the fan?.

Heres some feedback:

-Rework AD rewards to the non-repeatable leveling quests, so you can remove AD rewards from the leveling dungeons. So new players can have a decent amount of AD from all of them, when hitting LVL 70.
Also this makes the PLAYING rewarding.

-Rework better LOOT for the non-repeateable leveling quests. Some upgrade RP and stuff like that, So you dont instantly hit a Zen/AD/RP wall and this also makes the PLAYING rewarding.

-Make a feedback mail, where we can distinguish between the issues we are concerned and give constructive criticism, under labels like AD, Quest, Gear, Powers etc. with subcategories.
So you can see more clearly, what people are concerned about.
And add a button for NEGATIVE and POSITIVE feedback, to see the dislikes and likes over different issues and parts of your game to better see the hickups in them.

And yeah, thanks for the OP class patch, been leveling one up and its nice to see you continue the class reworks, at some level.

Why remove AD from any of the dungeons? Haven't they removed enough sources of AD already?
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.
