Suggestion to help the AD to zen exchange

Hello guys, everyone knows that right now it takes weeks or maybe months for your AD to get converted to Zen, if you are a new player like me and want to buy character slots the only way is to convert AD to zen, there's no character slots available to buy on the " Auction house ".

So my idea is this, the players who buy VIP would get 100 Rough Zen per month, now this Rough Zen can not be used for anything other than posting it on the Astral Diamond exchange.

100 Rough Zen is not enough so that players would only rely on it to get AD, and it would help speed things up a little bit for the players that want Zen.

What do you guys think ?

    The one who pays VIP may as well just buy the character slot. We are talking about $2.5 per character when there is no discount.
    And, the zen exchange is not yet taking weeks. It is about a million per day. I am getting Zen from the exchange.

    If Cryptic wants to help to clear the backlog, they can just buy AD. They inject one time lump sum of Zen to buy a big chunk of AD. They did that before. It is much cheaper for them than giving Zen to every VIP customer every month and spend resource to do the programming.

    Are you sure? because im trying to buy 500 Zen at 500 ad to 1 zen for more than a week now.

    Guild wars 2 has a similar system to where you can exchange gold for cash shop currency, its instant and i don't believe that another player has to buy that cash shop currency for you to exchange it, if you have the gold you just exchange it for the currency and that's it.

    Guild wars 2 is also a free to play game now, and a very successful one, if they can do it that way, why cant cryptic? its just greed man.

    Backlog is near 8 million now and takes well over a week for orders to fill.

    Why does Cryptic care about clearing it? As the backlog increases and wait time increases, people may break down and put down real money to get the zen they need now. It's a very clever system because they do not lose income from it, which would happen if they allowed conversion to zen without demand for AD.

    One way to clear the back log is to offer certain items that are normally ZEN only for AD (calculated at 500 per zen -MAX-)
    when the back log reaches a predetermined level, the sale goes away when the back log clears.

    The item that should be purchasable directly with AD DURING A BACK LOG is of course lock chest keys
    at the single key price.

    so if they cost 125 Zen then should be sold (during back logs only) 62,500 AD each

    folks wanting keys will drop their zen orders and buy direct.

    The only people waiting for Zen are people NOT spend money for it. There is no incentive for Perfect World to do anything about the backlog. If you don't want to wait for your Zen. Spend actual money and get your Zen immediately.

    Don't get me wrong. I am frustrated with the backlog as well and have been waiting five days already for my order to be filled.

    I'm just saying, reducing the backlog does NOTHING for Perfect World's bottom line. In fact. A large backlog benefits them.

    That's the problem,

    While zen to AD is locked at 500 to 1
    The real value of 1 ZEN is about 800 - 1000 if you compare what folks pay in zen for items
    that can be found in AH for diamonds.

    That is why nobody is trading ZEN for AD...they are getting ripped off if they exchange at the locked rate.

    it is called inflation
    the lock down on the zen/ad exchange is called a price freeze.

    put both together and nothing moves....period

    so, either the dev need to remove the 500 cap
    or
    write off the loss and just give everyone waiting the zen they want at 500
    or
    let it get worse
    or
    give folks something that costs a lot of AD they like better then zen

    Star Trek Online, did....called Fleet starbases...players loved them

    Neverwinter did the same thing - strongholds....players hate them ... that is why
    the zen/AD problem - strongholds failed to be the AD sink they had hoped.

    A long term solution needs to be a repeat sale...it need to grind up AD regularly
