Right now, my guardian fighter has his feat points in the conqueror path but I'm only level 65 and I have a low IL. I heard conqueror is only good at tanking at like 2700 IL and it's more dps focused. Since mod 10 is coming up, should I respec into protector or tactitian or should I stay with conqueror? I mostly see guides on tactitian and conqueror while protector looks good to me but not much people I know are specced into that tree. Last question, how would you categorize the trees on item level? Is tactitian and protector good at low IL while conqueror is good at late game. I have a long way to go before my GF hits a high IL so which tree should I go with for the meantime?

I've never played Prot, and only know of one guildy that's Prot, so can't comment much on that. My guildy friend is a great tank, but I feel his high gear levels makes staying Prot a waste. He's 'too' tank, if that makes sense. Maybe mod 10 will make Prot more desired, but I feel it's overkill when your gear is decent..

For a young GF I highly recommend either Prot or Tact, until you're comfortable with the content and/or your gear improves. Those trees off great party benefits when your low ilvl would hinder your ability to do good damage.

Once your gear is a certain level - I feel around 2.7k - the Conq will let you morph into more of a support dps/tank role. And will make solo play a blast. The ItF nerf means all but tact's buff the same, and if you can get 80% DR you can tank fine as Conq.

I would say that while you are leveling you can stay conqueror to finish that grind faster. If you are new to tanking in neverwinter as guardian fighter, I would advice you to start off with protector first as it's the most starter friendly. Once you feel confident tanking as protector you could then change to tactician as your 5% higher fray and ap gain could possibly help your team more than you going conqu at too low ilvl.
Imo maybe ilvl 3k or higher would be a good spot for you to swap over to conqueror

    From my point of view:

Conquerer: Level up & GF focusing in damage.
    Protector: Damage deflection & Mitigation.
    Tactitian: Team player.

It depend on your playstyle. As for now, I would not do anything but wait until people have tried the "re-worked" skills.
