Question about companions

I am currently using the Mage, fire archon, yeti, etc and a Cat, an Augment.

Ive heard using another companion with bonding stones is better than using an augment. Im not sure how this could be since bonding grants a % of your companions stats while an augment grants all.

So really if someone could clarify that would be great.

Alsi looking for some advice on the best companion setup for a SS CW.

    I dont have bonding yet and i am 2.9k CW SS, if you can afford high level bonding its better than augment.

    3 R12 bondings grant 285% of your companions stats (not HP though) to you, while augment grants 100%, so the bondings are almot 3 times better at high rank.

    Unless you have a legendary augment, even slotting 3 normal Bonding Runestones give you 5% more on a companion.
