How can i message a Mod?

I'm not very experienced with the forums, so i don't know how to private message someone. I'd rather have this discussion about my post being calling Flaming or w/e and closed in private.

I've gotten several PMs from people, some quite recently, that I didn't have existing threads with and who are not moderators or admins. I can't send new PMs, but clearly some people can.
