Voninblod costs need to be adjusted across the board.

From recharging armor to the cost of boons, it takes a ridiculous amount of farming.

Welcome to the world of 'Bring back Black Ice Armor.' The trick is to keep the armor 'topped off' during questing so that 50-200 Voninblod at a time is less than a 4200 or more full refill.

Tbh, I'm trying atm. to restore a chestpiece, needs 15k blood, and I just got the 4th boon, so I was starting again from zero, I hit the HEs with a grp in lonely wood and looped round the 3 HEs maybe 10/11 times or so, 8000 blood. Took about an hour or so. About 10 lanolin drops.

Initially to get boons and 2 pieces of gear - my goals for this mod - the blood price looks steep, but once it's done, and it is doable, the maintenance costs, considering I'll be using them for pvp and so the decay will perhaps be only an hour daily tops, will be manageable.

My only worry is once the zergs in lonelywood and bryn die down as more people get there boons etc., getting blood will become more difficult, though touring the archeological sites is an option I guess.

I think you've got to remember that the stats on the fully empowered gear beat out the masterwork gear by a small margin. The masterwork gear, either to obtain or make, took some people an immense amount of time and money. To leave the masterwork people an advantage - their gear requires no maintainance, the devs put some disadvantages into the newer storm king gear. Which is fair enough in my opinion.

Neither sets of gear are required to do the existing content.
No idea what my toon is now.

I don't have any problem keeping my gear charged. I keep it in my backpack and never take it out. Working as intended to block up some backpack space.
