@mamalion1234 Allow me to add this, I have given the most basic explanation about ambush rings I can. If everyone wears them then a Domi match would look like a map with noone on it and nodes randomly changing colors. This is hide and seek, not PVP.

^ right. It would be dumb. Just like t is when someone is using Ambush.
ICD is... ok, I guess. But my post above would be a much more appropriate change. (No ICD, but instead no combat proc).
And BTW, changing the ambush ring so it's not totally game breaking does not hurt TR. If you're not built for stealth as a TR then you shouldn't be stealthy. The class is designed specifically to trade damage for longer stealth. Ambush broke that dynamic, along with adding stealth to classes that just shouldn't have it.
It's good they changed it, but they didn't go nearly far enough.
some players on this threads are the CLEAREST example/explanation of "players using overperforming/broken/non WAI mechanics to stay overpowered and over rest of players".
First at all, to those players: Ambush ring was NOT WAI on its release. It stated that the user could be found at 20' AND that its cloack only could happend once 30 seconds. Sounds familiar?? and let's not enter in the "when a bearer were launched for X time, which counted as "movement", the bearer were also cloacked" debate, that was stupid to being with. Now that the ring is FIXED and WAI, trolls are coming here stating that the ring is useless... double standards at its best.

In mod 9 it basically turned you into a ninja. If it actually worked the way it was named they would have to STAND STILL to go invisible.
Find me in game if you want and send me a domination/ gaunt invite. If you are good and im not busy ill play with you. Im not an elitist ill play with almost anyone.
I thought I would try a bit of PvP again today as I got fed up quite some time ago with it. 1st game was quite good and really close... really enjoyed it. Apart from 1 GF who was faster than any mount and every time you saw him it was just a 1 shot death... oh and he was invisible just about all the time.
Then bam next game 5 invisible invincible players... complete joke and a waste of my life, unfortunately remembered why I got so fed up. I could not see a single player 90% of the game and I was 1 shotted a million times by that 1 GF from before, who was invisible and invincible the whole time again... along with an invisible invincible DC and a 2nd invincible invisible GF (seems fair by now)... pants.
No thanks... I will wait till Mod 10 drops now.

You cannot see shadowclad vanished players nor can you see vanishing presence players.
Plus these effects happen in combat, making you lose your target even if they are standing on your feet. (No visible range was built in to them)
I would personally remove the ability to vanish from all items, or give them all a minimal detection range.
