Is this how it is supposed to be played for this particular boss fight on epic?

First of all Neverwinter is my first mmo like ever. Never played the genre before. Going into this battle I knew about Valindra's attacks but it was during the final moments of the fight when I saw the paladin aggro/crowd pulling the mob that it dawned to me could this be the only sure fire way to approach this fight? I have uploaded a clip highlighting the last couple minutes of the session. It was my first clear of the dungeon btw.

She summons containers that spawn adds. The group should destroy those asap. The reason you had all of those adds were because either low dps or your group wasn't paying attention or both
