GF IL progression

hey guys, just needing some sagely advice. i recently hit 70 and my item level is 1700ish. I tried an epic dungeon and was pretty much annihilated. Clearly the 1600 is not an accurate reflection as to the real IL required. So i cant complete epic dungeons for gear and the stuff im getting from quest lines is not that great, is well of dragons my option? im just not sure about the best way/place to get my IL up to where i can tank tier 1 then progress to t2 .

Boons from the campaign's mainly sharandar, dread ring, elemental evil and the first few from some others make a huge difference in your survivability. You should complete them as quickly as you can.

If you have gotten mostly 115 stuff from running elemental evil spine ward rise campaign and can't seem to do tier 1's, start looking at prophecy of madness/throne of dwarves gods skirmishes. These should net you some rings, and doesn't really need to be "tanked" .
Run the baby dungeons(non epic) for some ad and start saving up for things like rank 7 gems, either the undergarmet set from under dark or better yet the gemmed exquisite underwear. Also dusk boots and gloves can be bought on ah, if people are selling them, might have to check a few times to find them. The set bonus is one of better ones in game. Another route to getting dusk gear is by becoming VIP and using daily key you will build up tarmalen trade bars to purchase them.
After that start looking at under dark gear bought with ichor. Since there is no cap now per week probably one of the easier ways to gear up with 135 gear. Also join a guild that does greed of dragonflights. get to donating to earn marks and run dragons as another route to get dragonflight gear.

I intentionally left out artifacts and companions as those are a personal choice depending on what your gear lacks and how you plan to build your character
