Game Controller (PS4)

Hi I am new to the game, and have minimal know how about how to use the Controller in game. And other options for the game. I was wondering is there somewhere I can get a full list of Controller instructions and other game controls?

As I recall the in-game options menu has a "controller" button image that shows how all the buttons are mapped. Plus the game basically walks you through which buttons to use as you level and get access to the other buttons.

    Powers are limited in which buttons they can be mapped to;

    At-Wills: L2, R2
    Encounters: Square, Triangle, Circle
    Dailies: L1+ Square, L1+Triangle

The tricky thing to learn to use is the chat system, once you have access to it at level 15 iirc. To access L1+ Down on the dpad.

Isn't R1 also an encounter power?

No, R1 is your class mechanic button.

It works like an encounter to me just with a little something extra depending what you choose to have slotted there. I'm a CW so maybe that's why I thought it was an encounter.

It all depends on the class.

For DC it activate the divinity which can only be active with 1-3 pimps and allows up to 3 encounters to be used without any cool down to them, the encounters have a special on top of the normal encounter use. After doing doing that 3x your next encounter used is empowered which provides something different than the divine mode or regular mode of the encounter power.

CW get a fourth ability slotted into RI and it has type of arcane boost for damage and control effect.
Paladins get an ability that heals or cause threat, depending upon the paragon path taken.
GF has a special mark that causes threat.
GWF has an ability that improves speed and some other stats.
    SW have curses.
    Rogues get stealth.
HR gets the ability to swap between DW and Bow.

Those are the class specific mechanic and I played all classes to level 60 just to get a feel for them to see which one I liked the best and it ended up being the Cleric.

I also liked Rogue and HR, but I see so many DPS out there I know from other games how much a healer is needed in MMO games.

Easiest thing to do is push the touchpad (big black button on top front of the controller) a few times till the help goes to the bottom controls. It will explain what does what. Hope that helps.
