DR Nerf

Guess I've had it too good, for too long.

Raided twenty of the DR lairs each of the last weekends and come away with a total of 4 greater marks. Has the drop rate dropped for greater marks?

Was a nice way to make a bit of AD, but meh...

    Actually i got more greater marks on DR lairs during the past few weeks. I even got 4 SMoP, considering i didn't get one on 2 months i wouldn't say they ninja-nerf the drops

    4/20 = 20%. Not that far off of the average, and it's a small sample size. Run a thousand more or so, see what happens.

    When DR was introduced, the special chest would always give one greater mark with the purple gauntlet. This has been through a major nerf. Rewards never go up in this game, always down. :)

    The change that made the lairs not drop a purple mark every time happened what? Something like a year ago... Not a new thing at all.

    I think you are right, and they drop in clusters. I've had Saturdays where I've walked away with 14 greater marks from 20 lairs, but not for the past few weeks - hence my OP.

    Seen many Lathanders drop, and had the occasional SMOP from the daily chest - so I can confirm they do drop (although not often...).

    I've pulled a few smops as well over the past year(less than 5) and I run on a regular basis. Over the past weekend I ran DR dailies on 3 toons per day + 1 extra lair for each toon. So 12 runs and I ended up with 2 purple marks. I started this game approx 15 months ago and the drop changes in these lairs were already in effect.

    I don't find the drop rate bad but it's not great either. Would love to see a purple a day on drop days, and extra lairs are a chance of finding more! But it was said perfectly above, they don't increase the rewards, only nerf em!

    I haven't bought a single SMoP off AH or WB and I got maybe 19 from the arcane coffer on 4 toons running DR lair once daily. Sometimes I even got 2 SMoP in a row on 2 different toons. Haven't seen Eye of Lathander in months now, however.

    You must be using those 'Better than' Adamantine gloves. I haven't progressed that far yet ;)
