XP drop in Stronghold?

When guildies and alliance friends started alts I used to jump on my dps and we would run around the stronghold killing stuff and getting shared XP. It was a good way to get influence runs done and level them up at the same time. Since yesterday (8/27/16 or 27/8/16 depending on where you are from) I have noticed that the XP gained from killing various mobs has gone from between 7-24k per mob to around 2k! Anyone know why? Was this mentioned anywhere as a problem that needed addressing or was this change snuck in?

I get the full XP, their share seems to have dropped dramatically!

    make one of the lower level characters the group leader as the leader gets more XP plus you want to do the T3 heroics.

    Weird, I tried that on the day. Made the lower level the leader, went to their stronghold, got them to hit things first but to no avail! Will try to see whether if they actually start the group in the first place, it makes a difference.
