With mod 10, we're getting new gear, and that new gear is supposed to drop in heroic encounters in the new zones. I'm saying "supposed to", because even though all my friends got their boots on their first day farming HEs (and i'm not exaggerating, I mean all the ones that still log in), I'm now at 23500 voninblood on my main character, and most of it comes from heroic encounters, since I rarely pick up relics. That most likely means I've played more or less 100 HEs, or ~12 a day since the new module, for a bit more than a week. And I have to say that I'm already sick of running them. I kept doing so because boots are supposedly easy to acquire, but it's obviously not the case for everyone.
So, could we have a pity timer, like other games do, for such gear? By pity timer I mean increased drop rates after each unsuccessful run, until you reach that magical 100% chance if you're really unlucky. It's definitely not hard to code, it's just one more thing in your already gigantic database, and it helps tremendously with easing the frustration pure RNG brings. I know cryptic devs love RNG because they think it's somehow fun. Maybe it is, I don't know. However, no one should have to run the same content that many times, especially if the aforementioned gear is supposed to be relatively easy to get. Because that's insane and it's generating more frustration than anything towards the game, a feeling, I'm sure, the devs don't want to be the dominant experience.

I've 38k VB and almost all of it is from HEs. I got 4 Assault Boots while I'm chasing Raid Boots. It's so irritating. And since you have to restore (with quite a lot of resources) to use them, it makes it harder committing to something you don't want.
Something like the Shadowclad enchantment would be nice. But no, it most likely won't be done, just wishful thinking. The same goes with +5 rings.
I've another solution, drop ring and boot packs instead of rings and boots from which you could choose what you want and avoid double RNG. Or it could be a token that drops like the Sahha Tickets, that you could take to a vendor and choose what you want.
