Compensation for server issue downtime?

I'm still pretty new to the game but I've never seen other games with this many server issues. Not counting tonight on 8/22 I constantly get server not responding spewed across my screen and have to wait 30 min to an hour every day for it to come back. Considering the other complaints about drop rates etc. I'm surprised they don't compensate everyone in some manner for these issues. Even if it's just an extra or increased AD/XP event in order to make up for the time people are missing out on on a daily basis. Anyone agree or have ideas?
