Lockbox's

bitterratbitterrat Member Posts: 25 Arc User
After biting the bullet after the amount of hours I have put in, I have recently decided to purchase some xen in cash open a few lock boxes to test my luck.

I know they are supposed to be random, but seriously most of the drops are completely worthless. whilst I don't always expect riches beyond my wildest dreams, I do expect to to see something of note a little something. Combine this with your completely dodgy chance mechanics, for example, a 30% chance to rank an enchantment that requires 30-40 attempts is beyond a joke, not to mention the appalling lag, the endless bugs that never get fixed and I can only surmise that your code is as dodgy as hell.

It is clear that you are nothing more than a money grabbing bunch of HAMSTER who deserve to be anally fisted by the studded gauntlet fairness.

After trying so hard to enjoy this game and support it, I am just sick tired of slimey back handed tricks to suck money out of people, the closing down of revenues of earn AD within game, unless you play it 24/7. Rather actually creating a game people want to invest in, you create a game that people are forced to invest in. I mean what have you done about creating new PVP arena's? Creating seasonal leagues, that teams can join? There is so much lacking in this game.

So I could not give a flying HAMSTER if your company fails and folds, to be honest, I hope it does. Neverwinter has the promise of being truly great, but because your blinded greed, you have pushed so many players away. You are abusing the name of D&D and created something that has HAMSTER all to do with with the spirit of it.

In the spirit Frank Fontaine "would you kindly go HAMSTER yourselves".

Lockboxes aren't worthless. Everything in them can be used to further a character.

there are sites that post drop rates, etc from lockboxes. It's a good reference if you are trying to make a profit from lockboxes. Here's a hint, runic lockbox is not good.

The more common a lockbox drop is, the less worth it has. it is impossible to make every lockbox drop items that are worth the price of the key, or the risk is gone.

Its gambling ultimately....I dont see it as greed.

It's still a chance... Some people I know have been able to successfully refine a 1% item without using a single ward.

Examine what the lockbox offers and then decide if the content worth a key. Runic lockbox does not worth a key, IMO.

Yes, that happens. I have better luck with low percentage refinement than high myself. I always find a nobody instance before I do any RNG requires activity. I found that I have better luck that way.

The point is there are better ways for them to earn money, they are a company and they have pay wages, pay bills and must generate income. It is not what they do, but it is the way that they do it.

And they have taken the wrong path, rather than making a game with care and love that people want to invest in to keep going, they are constantly making their fan base angry and forcing the to buy zen. Which not only pushes players away, but also reduces their revenue income.

Crafting in this game needs to be seriously improved, but it wont, because they have got themselves into a situation with artifact weapons... Which have been used as a cash revenue stream by forcing people to buy AD in order to refine their equipment. Further supported by the fact they have "nerfed" the drop rates of enchantments like Dragon's Hoard and Quatermaster's.

This game has so much potential, so much potential to become something truly amazing, if they just stopped thinking about ways of HAMSTER people out of their money and created a game that truly lived up to the spirit of what D&D is all about.

You're saying that like this game is their only source of income.
