Coul someone good at the game's math tell me if 500 tenacity is going to do much if you already have 3300? In terms of crit resistance, arpen resistance, etc?
The new armor, Prestige, comes with a +500 tenacity bonus. Currently I wear Adamant and feel the stats are somewhat better (for my playstyle)--plus it's already kitted out. If I have 3300+ tenacity, will 500 more make enough of a difference to switch armor?
I am about to earn my first piece and can't find a single one that looks better than what I'm wearing, stats-wise. It's all about the bonuses.
It is not about the 500 tenacity only it is about the set bonuses you will be missing out on and/or more hitpoints by not using prestige or warborn armor or some hybrids of such
the warborn set bonus is pretty cheap and attainable with a few trade bars (armor + boots ) plus the gloves helm (gloves are currently 90k ads in the auction house .. warborn also gives additional conditional tenacity and movement as a set bonus

Adamant gives just as many hit points and tenacity as Prestige. It's the MW set. The set bonuses for Prestige are the 500 tenacity and a 10% damage reduction when controlled. I'm going to do the 3 pieces for the bonuses, but the stats themselves are not a real upgrade on the armor.

Wrong Adamant has less and does not have a tenacity set bonus of 500 built in like prestige (2 needed) or lions mane (3 needed) warborn 2 (3 needed with a conditional extra 400 tenacity )
having 1500 or so less tenacity due to no tenacity rings or on a hybrid armor set is a huge difference in pvp so if a player is not going to have tenacity rings he/she needs to make up for it in the armor

@kalina311 I'll check it again, but Adamant Gladiator armor sure seemed to have the same tenacity, minus the set bonuses. Bonii?
Tenacity rings I got. Thanks for the feedback.

The answer is yes. No diminishing returns--the set bonus is worthwhile. And it's even better if you mix Warborn and Prestige tenacity bonuses. @kalina311 , thanks for the input.
It's too bad that tenacity so outweighs much more important stats. Cryptic is going to make a mint peddling it this mod.
