Elemental lionsmane bound to character should be account?

I'm fairly confident this is known, but i'm posting in case it isn't, and hopefully to hear of a fix from someone.
I'd like to give the elemental lionsmane gear to another character I have of the same class.
Problem:
I bought Lionsmane gear.. Each piece was Bound to Account.
Ran said gear through black ice, (profession says result will be bound to account).
Collected the newly elemental infused gear, and it becomes bound to character immediately.
Three of the 4 pieces I made did this. One piece (boots) actually came out bound to account.
