Uncommitable Paragon Points

Logged into Mod 10 and switched to an old alt GF which has been level 70 forever. Noticed 5 paragon points unassigned. Tried to assign them and after confirming every time I try to leave the Character screen they become unassigned again and give me an error message.

Mod 10 seems to have resurrected this old problem.

After a few logins I finally got a message to use a free respec so perhaps this isn't a resurface of the old problem, the old problem just took this long to manifest on this particular character.
