Is there any reason to take more than rank 1 of this class feature? The extra ranks only increase the range by increments of 3' and nothing to the damage so methinks it can stay at 1 or am I missing something?

    Yeah, the damage boost and range are laughable. Getting as far away as possible harms you. Archers only need to be 25 yards away for the crit bonus. Any further is going to rob you of party buffs.


    But really, why can't we get the likes of chilling presence? Well, maybe not that big. 30-40% at least.

    Don't get me wrong, I love the that the damage bonus was added and seeing as I am always ~25 yards away it's a 5% damage boost. I just won't put any further points in it beyond the first rank.
