Guild Advancement

Anyone know how realistic it is to try to level a guild with only 5 players, maybe 2 or 3 alts each? We are not level 70 yet, but the numbers needed to even build a farm, seem sizeable and likely would take a lot of grinding. Does it get better and become more manageable? Not expecting a new building a week, but right now we are on pace for maybe 1 per 2 or 3 months if we are lucky.

Yeah it's not very realistic I'm afraid - unless you spend $$ on stronghold starter packs of course. Even then with a total of 10 characters running influence every day it'd still take you almost a year to reach rank 10 (the half way point). After that it starts to get expensive - lol.

The lack of reward for your effort will impact on your motivation after a while. The other thing is you'll find it next to impossible to do things like dragonflight until you all get over 3k, especially with lower ranked boons.

Personally I'd suggest your 5 players form the leadership group of the guild - get to L70 then start inviting members. You should make donating influence a requirement but everything else voluntary. Once your members have completed their campaigns they'll be more willing to donate campaign currency, but your journey to GH8 (rank 4 market) will be a lot quicker and you'll probably make a few new friends on the way.

Appreciate the response. Seems my suspicions were correct. Not really looking to run a guild after doing so for years as a raid guild in EQ2. Maybe I can convince one of the other guys to do it, or we'll just disband and join another guild.

    Recruit! Recruit! Recruit!

With 5 ppl in your guild, it'll take forever to do everything, unless those 5 ppl spend tons of real money to help with getting stuff, which I don't see happening. As you level buildings up, the more & more resources you will need to deposit. Honestly...focus on the first 3 words I mentioned. Its definitely way easier to have, say 150 ppl, rather than 5...lol

With 5 members you will be able to get SH2 and maybe a few buildings but it will take you an exorbitant amount of time to do so. I would suggest, if none of your friends want to run a guild, joining one that is already underway. That way it will save all of you the headache of running one, but still give you the ability to feel like you are part of something and contributing to that goal.
