Que System - Role Selection - Please Add

The que system that this game has is horrible. It assumes you will play a healer if you are a SW, OP, or DC. I maybe a SW, but I am no way a healer. I maybe a OP but I maybe not spec as a tank.

With that said please add to the que system a place where players select a role based on their class and you can only pick one of the roles.

DPS, Healer and Tank should be listed along with a role for controller.

Please add this as I have seen many players setup for a DPS but the system assumed they were another role and the group failed because the que system is making assumptions when it should not do that.

This change could benefit all platforms.

    I think the OP is referring to the situation where you join an instance already in progress because someone had left. At that point, the queue system does not look at role. It just fills the empty slot with the next available player.

    Should it be that way? Its a tough call. On one hand, most of the content is easy enough for an all-dps team to faceroll it. Waiting for a proper tank/heal to show up delays those runs. Then there is CN where having the proper group composition is important. Randomly filling the missing slot is usually a waste of everyone's tim.

    Biggest problem with CN runs after losing a body is whoever the queue pulls up takes a look at the team and figures it can't be done so they never translate to the zone.

    I love that peek feature. It does save server resources by not having to fully load someone into a run that will likely fail. My TR is not going into CN without a good tank. My CW is not going into a tank-less party unless all the dps are ranged. And my GF is not going in without decent dps. I would like to see more people take advantage of this feature. Its very annoying when the party dps is already on the low side and some 2K dps comes in and stays.

    Better to try and fail than not try at all. You never know, the party may surprise you with success.

    I come from other MMOs where you que up and select a role. In the instance players know your role by a symbol next to your name. If you qued for said role and cannot play it, you were kicked. Now if they had this in this game it would be a whole lot easier to play the game and get dungeons completed.

    As for someone stating solo a dungeon, are you referring to soloing epic dungeons? If so, at what IL are you soloing an epic dungeon? Regular dungeons I have no issues nor do I care about roles but epic I do care as I don't want all the enemies to jump on me as I'm healing and doing some minor damage and mainly get aggro because most DPS on the PS4 don't know how to be a DPS at end game just yet. Same with most tanks that are setup as a DPS.

    If you are soloing T1 epic dungeons are you at 3-4K IL and if so, that is very different than what most PS4 end game players are at currently. Most from what I have seen are around 2K or less IL on the PS4 side. I have seen one or two players with an IL above 3K but most are 2K or less.

    Also PS4 dungeons are all broke except Kessell and running that over and over is actually quite boring.

    there are others priority in this game to fix/add, i don't understand why all you guys keep using public queue, just go to protector's enclave and type in zone chat...

    And get muted/ignored in the process? Lols. That's what /lfg is for. And you don't want to go there either.
    i don't know what kind of player you are but i've never muted someone who's looking for a group o.O

    It's a spam thing. Depends on how many times within a minute you call out that you're looking.
