I am thinking of getting the Duergar guard as a companion. Just wandering if anyone had some insight on it. Thanks

    There are better Striker companions, pick those who got 3 offense slots and a ring slot.

    If you buy a companion there are a few things to look for.

    Active bonus. Does the active bonus support your role. As a DD you will go for +dmg or debuff with the same result. Tank might want more thread or DEF or +x, if you take dmg.

    Slots: As the post above says, but offense slots for DDs etc and defense slots for tank tanks (not dmg/ hybrid) tanks. Ring slots, so you might slot a +5 ring, but keep in mind, if you go for gateway gear (loyal avenger etc) rings are much more expensive, than the other gear.
    Chars: CW, DC, GF, GWF, HR and TR.

    But also keep in mind that you can get them for free by 'playing the game', i.e. running SCA Epic dungeons on the Gateway, which is how I have obtained all the Loyal Avenger gear used by my three characters :)

    Check out the new Legendary rings from Fangbreaker. Perfect for pets.
    Well, that will be something to look into once people reach Fangbreaker on the Live server. Going to be a few weeks before I get there, so I'll stick with the SCA stuff which I can get now :)
