Companion falls below. Can't re-summon.

While in a Instance for a quest. I've lost my companion a few times. He drops below me while in combat. He stays alive so I cannot re-summon him. The only solution is to re-enter the Instance and the map resets or if the Instance has a next level gateway, but you have to fight thru the enemies w/o your companion.

Have you tried summoning another companion, then re-summon the one you want? Not sure what else to try other than what you have already done.

Appreciate the tip. No, there are some quest instances where there are ledges and you can die if you fall down. On occasion , a companion will fall down and remain alive so you can't re-summon him.
