I wonder how many full alliances there are on xbox, based on what I see in the forums I was estimating about 15, maybe 20 full sets of I guess mainly English speaking players. If it is 20, that equates to about 400K English speaking players (in full alliances) that post on the forums. So to me it seems like there is a great potential that XB version is down in population from the 2.1 Million that was stated somewhere about a year ago. Or it could be that there are plenty of healthy alliances that are not on the forum and the numbers are the same.... It would be interesting to know the actual numbers.

This was taken down to some exploit that was found almost immediately, it won't be going back up until resolved. Its amazing how quickly they can resolve an issue when they might be losing out isn't it?
PvP and You: 1. Premade groups have made PvP pretty painful at times. Again it's Pugging VS trying to find a dream team. If I happen to be in a group where the opposing team is losing without much of a battle, we wait til they cap and hit 100. Sadly there aren't that many premades who do that. 2. Siege and IWD have been all but ruined with the broken active companion bonuses. I have no idea why they'd allow this to continue. Simply removing the bonus when flagged for PvP VS nerfing the companion would make sense. I can't tell you how many times I've been a victim of companion kills. It's removing the enjoyment for those who don't use broken mechanics and want to progress, keep the game fresh. 3. Having someone with ZERO tenacity trying for gear be put in with a premade makes even trying useless. I loathe suggesting any changes to the Q system, but it seems like the only way to get people to continue to strive for their gear.
1. Agreed, undoable, no fun. The problem is needing pvp to get the pvp gear. Since I cant get pvp gear I'm not pvping, which I would be doing otherwise. Then there is the pvp versus pve spec issue. If we could dual spec (i.e. one spec for pvp and one spec for pve with the same character) then that would solve a lot of the balance issues as well. Dual spec would also allow for being able to let us remove the enchantment visuals in pve. 2. I love IWD, it's the only pvp environment where there is a bit of fun to be had as most are pve specced players and thus on a fairly level playing field. The companions aren't an issue, they can be killed or not. All part of the tactics. They add to the game. IMHO companions should be allowed in all pvp environments. Companions are not allowed in Siege. Sadly. 3. Jup, don't have pvp gear, cant't get pvp gear that about sums it up.
Personally i think the drop rate out of boxes say for mounts and such has declined. This could make sense if they controll drop rates based on the player base. Back in mod 5 we got an epic companion, artifact, or mount 1 out 20-40 boxes. Now its closer to 100-150 boxes for me, if that. Why control drop rates? To not saturate a market that cant buy them up.
They still havent figured out how to fix the gwf unstoppable bug
Very true, if you have temporary HP left in your healthbar unstoppable doesn't work. It's very important for a gwf, and has saved my HAMSTER many times. You lose dps and can get one shotted much easier. Also you have to take damage for the temporary HP to go away so you can go unstoppable again. This bug comes and go's. I didn't had problems with unstoppable before mod6. At least i thought i didn't. I'm not sure when this problem started but it's been in the game for some time now. And it's about time they fixed this ancient bug.
@dratomic1#3275 companions should disappear as soon as you flag. Too many glitches involved. Also you can get your pvp gear mainly by just doing seige and most of the hardcore pvpers are in Dom so you will have equally no geared people. Then you also have every sw and pally feeling like god running the owlbear glitch in siege or other companion bugs.
We were discussing these very same issues on these very same forums in mod 6. The devs didn't listen then, they won't listen now and they certainly won't break the habit of a lifetime by actually communicating with us.
They have their weekly reports so they know how many are playing and how much they're earning, to them the rest is just "blah, blah, blah..."

One of the major problems I have with PVP well besides the premade groups or whatever is the match making every single time I que for PVP I get matched with all supports classes I'm a gwf for my main and I always get stuck with clerics and a gf and a pally and get pitted up against rogues control wizards and sw how the heck are you supposed to be straight dps /control lol and most of the 4k groups could at least let you get a few hundred points so you can get your ad and glory but no they be d bags and one shot you over over again

Companions are an integral part of the game, they should not disappear as soon as you flag. Glitches should be fixed.
With regards to getting your pvp gear through siege... lol. You clearly don't try to join siege... If I'm able to get 1 game of siege a week it's a lot.
I was almost interesting in running siege to get some lions-mane but then I saw the new pvp gear coming in Mod10 and it changed my mind about siege - not going to siege ever. I think I will get the new set and run GvG Death for Diamonds once we have mod 10.
Siege was popping all weekend and even late. Companions are made for pve and are excluded from Dom like all pvp should be.
Your late does not equal my late. From that comment alone I can tell you are most likely playing PST or EST. I got into exactly 0 Siege this weekend with 1 popping. 0/0 so far this week.
Companions are part of the game and should be included in pvp, if there are issues preventing it then those should be fixed. Excluding companions because they are broken in one way or another is just lazy and bad game management.
The fact that companions dont carry to PvP is one of the main reasons folk like me, who only want to play Dom as an extension of the game as a whole from doing it. My build is PvE and I don't own any PvP gear. My companions are an important part of my build, and losing them going into Dom just gives the PvP builds even more advantage. And while allowing everyone to have companions would also increase the stats for PvP players, the comparative disparity would be lower.
I dont want to lessen the reward for those who specialise in PvP and reduce Tenacity to an irrelevance. I just want a PvP area where I can go and there be a degree of parity for those who don't. I don't care if the rewards are HAMSTER, I just fancy doing PvP for fun (remember when that was a reason on its own for playing a game...) without spending ten minutes being a continuous stream of unimaginative kills for someone who would probably benefit from fighting people on their own level.

There already is an area for you, it's called Icewind Dale. Domination in the dale and the valley every 30mins. Or just ask for 1v1s

Nonsense, what a non-constructive reply. You are doing nothing more then conform the elitist image pvpers have, you dont want a competitive environment you want easy kills and thus no changes.
The point is that Siege, domination and Grym all fail because of the lack of companions giving the pure pvp-ers a far too big advantage over pve built players. Neither works for me and doesn't for a lot of players. It's no fun having nothing but soft targets and it's not fun being the soft target.
If you play any game everyday for multiple hours youre bound to get bored. That being said, I do believe the games population is on a steady decline. Theyve tried to mask it by rounding the remaining players up into forced guilds to grind endlessly for strongholds. That didnt keep people for long. So they rounded them up again for alliances, that way it can appear as though there are massive amounts of people active and ready to play. Im ok with that. What bothers me is that there are no rewards. The only thing thats left is a chase for bis thats never attainable because the destination gets farther and farther each mod. The latest being plus five rings. I have a few, none that I could actually use of course. If only I could sell/ trade them... kind of like we were able to do. I keep playing in the hopes that it'll be fun again. I have found I love to grind, but only when its rewarding. The loot and boot era had to end, but they fixed that when the loot rolls became for the individual person. Why not make things BOE again? Sorry for the long post: TLDR game is on life support, new mods keeping it alive.
I quit today ,as I am tired of losing out to botters. They just take things away from the honest fair players and use "BOTTERS" for the reason. So be warned about spending real money on this game, they will change stuff and you will be out ,I am a founding member started in beta so I have seen how they work and this is how.

I've said this on other threads but PvP is weighted toward the most powerful throughout. Its less noticeable pre-70 but it exists.
The simple fact that the buyable PvP equipment level breaks are half way between the domination access levels means that Mr L61 is not only up against more powerful characters, (but that's to be expected...) while Mrs L66 has not only the xp, powers, hp etc advantage on Mr L61, she's also got access to kit that he hasnt that is specific to their encounter.
Make the equipment level breaks match the access level breaks...
Should change the title of this thread a bit to game + PvP dying. The new queue system is garbage in terms of matching 5 man premade teams to other 5 man premade teams. I understand the need to speed up queue times by finding the quickest match, but what the designers fail to realize is that the quickest match 90%of the time ends up being a pug vs premades. This isn't fun for either side and had driven a lot of people away from PvP.
That combined with ambush rings (everyone is a rogue yayyy!!), drains and wards, a lack of a new PvP mode since SH siege shows a complete lack of regard for any PvP players. Not like pw cares anyway though since the hundreds of posts complaining about the subject have been completely ignored.
I'm no coder, so I don't understand issues of server space, code conflicts and so on. Obviously the more options, the more hastle but at the risk of sounding a bit dumb... just how hard would it be to have more Domination lobbies? They could announce some trials, looking at PUG/Group variations, and then try post 70IL breaks or Tenacity levels. As long as they keep the current "fast queue" option available as well during these trials it would offer an insight in how to move it forward. As the rest of the game developes it seems that PvP is the one aspect that hardly anyone praises
Speaking anecdotally, of the people I talked to about this, even a lot of the people who are good at, and enjoy, PvP acknowledge that its pretty broken.

I believe this thread has ran it's course. Players are not privy to the number of active accounts are on any of the platforms, but my own personal observations show the game is still thriving on all platforms.
