Mod 10 BUFF DC build

lorde#3763 lorde Member Posts: 25 Arc User
So I've been a haste build for a few months now and am looking to become a buff cleric, I would appreciate any video (YouTube only), or other links that can provide me with any insight to this, also I'm currently running Tiamat set

    I use virtuos build

    http://nwcalc.com/index.html#/dc?b=1oa5:k6rwk5:8dep:5tb7d,1li3314:150z50v:1000000:1zu0000&h=0&p=anc&o=0

its easy to proc all the tree feats in pve/pvp so its decent buff
all feats effect you as well the party (no limitation to amount of ppl)
    AP gain is good.
you can use damaging powers and still heal

if you like to do bit of pvp, better take prestigios exaltation and gifts of gods.

I run a slightly different Virtuous splash Righteous heal/buff build. I focus on daily-spam and power-stacking. This build is a little more gear dependent since you want to have high power for the sharing and high recovery for spamming. Bondings also help get your power high enough to solo, otherwise dailies are frustratingly slow without help.

Class Features: Holy Fervor or Divine Fortune / Hastening Light
Encounters: Bastion of Health or Chains of Blazing Light or Astral Shield / Divine Glow / Break the Spirit
At-Wills: Blessing of Battle / Astral Seal
Dailies: Anointed Army / Hallowed Ground

I know I could optimize a little better for high-end play (DO has Brand of the Sun for instance) but this build can pick up the slack on a lower-geared party a bit better, since I can swap in stronger heals / mitigation and spam AA as an alternative to the bubbles of yore.

PS @plavia I would highly recommend dropping Unbreakable Devotion in lieu of purity or one of the gift feats. At max it's giving a 50% wep dmg flat tax on dmg, but that's in the 100's of dmg, which is an order of magnitude below where even the trashiest of mobs hit nowadays (in the 1000's). This feature needs to be adjusted for the power creep since the lvl70 cap, but as it stands right now is pretty close to useless.

Edit: forgot I'm slotting Divine Fortune pretty often now that my recovery is higher.

    nice build @dupeks
3 points in cleanisibg fire is enough?
i use similar powers in PVE except astarl seal, i prefer lance of faith as astral seal don't do alot

i do bit of PVP and unbreakble devotion help a bit (i think)
since PVP getting harder every mod i probably need to respec.
i think i will stay virtuos and try to increase my heals.
I tried Righteous and my ArP is still low. DoT do nothing against survivor's blessing with deflect.
faithfull is great for PVP but its over heals in PVE.

In my experience, yes, it triggers reliably enough at 3/5.

Bear in mind that it doesn't provide that much healing on it's own anyway, it's mostly there to ensure everyone has HoTs on to stay topped up during battle. It used to also proc GoH, but with the 5sec spread it's 100% uptime regardless.

LoF is arguably the most damage efficient at-will.

And you're right I mostly use BoB as my go-to at-will, and AS only sparingly. The primary benefit in my book is that it's always available and with enough power it's a fairly reliable long-distance heal in edemo or underdark skrims. Helps keeps people topped up if I'm not slotting any dedicated heal powers and they're out of my passive heal range.

I used to think this too, as it does help a little bit against DoTs and TR's bleed. But it's just not effective against the people who you actually need help surviving. Everything is burst damage now, since as you pointed out DoTs are being canceled out by HoTs. And UD doesn't help diddly squat against burst damage.

I find Purity is much better utility and more often useful, since it's effectively a "crit-like" effect for your HoTs and if you are putting out enough of them it both crits and purifies frequently enough to be noticeable.

    Yes, apologies, you are correct.

I was blinded by 4 beautiful orbs orbiting me and everyone in sight. BotS schools LoF, but is only available if you give up being a champion ;)
