Im doing a short review here of the Summer ball mithral ticket event.

I kicked 51k volleys over the past weeks with my friends and I got 0 legendary mounts. I would be more upset if I actually spent real money in this game, but since i haven't - its okay(ish)! I knew from the start that its a lottery with a bad RNG where the house almost always wins. I do have to say that in the end, I do hate the game and the company behind it a little bit more. But its not like anyone cares! :)

Feedback: All RNG lottery events like this should have a treshhold were you actually gain better RNG after X kicked balls or whatever (resets once u get something good). Because this is just simply HAMSTER.

The flip side is, many people got many mounts from this. You put in 51k volleys and got nothing, and I feel for you. That said, there are probably hundreds of people out there that did the same, and did get mounts - lots of them.

So long as there are people willing to: run instances hundreds if not thousands of times for a specific item, kick a ball under a bridge 50 thousand times, spend thousands on lockbox keys to try for rare drops....they won't see any need to change the system or the drop rates. Carrot on a stick.

And in a sick way, I don't blame them. They have a limited amount of content they can produce and we go through it FAST. Repetition unfortunately = content. People are also DOING the above, which means they can either A, make the drops rare, or B, make them not so rare and essentially mean that everyone will get one pretty fast. This is why most games put a "challenge" in front of the players in order to get the good stuff, not just "Do incredibly simple X until Y happens and win".

I fully agree that there should be a cap on failures though. In some cases, no - for example, if you put a cap on Pwards of say 120 used before 100% success, then coal wards are pointless. But dungeons should all drop a token usable to get a rare item of your choice - legendary rings for example.

I don't see this changing though as again, rare drops = more repetition and repetition = content.

You are probably far better off grinding AD and paying the lucky people that got the mount you wanted....sad but true.
