Friends and not friends.

Correct me if I am wrong but the only way to add someone onto the friends list is by friending them on PSN, well after some testing, if you remove a friend(delete them on PSN) some still remain on friends list, but all continue to give you log in and log out notifications. Even after trying the PSN method of blocking they still remained to give log status updates.

Is this a current known bug of the friends list ?
