Endgame Cleric gear help

Hello everyone. I started a new thread for this completely different question. I am wondering what is the currently available Best in slot Gear for a PVE healing cleric who solo's a lot. I know that the high prophet was BIS but as i play on PS4 it is not available.

Firstly PVE healing does not make sense for any endgame solo build. lol

Regardless end game BIS gear isn't about a specific set and more about stat distribution. While defensive stats are far less important at PVE endgame where the game is currently an arms race and everyone focuses on killing things quickly. There are also relationships between defense/deflect/hit points that can be leveraged to find the right stat balance for your build.

Regardless for solo content you want a resistance ignored around 40% (60% for dungeon bosses). If you aren't doing any dps then you don't need armor pen (i.e. if your just healing parties for dungeons). One useful trick is to get in a guild with a barracks and a stable. This way you can use armor pen from the stable boon when you need to dps and switch to the barracks power boon when your in full heal mode.

The next thing you will want to look at is recovery if your a healer. I've heard the sweet spot is around 16K recovery where you can have 24/7 up time on Astral Shield.

Then comes crit. Crit is calculated in relations to power using a formula of Damage = hit*(1+(Power/40000)*( (1+(Total crit Severity))*Crit Chance+(1-Crit Chance)). I linked the formula's guide on stat theory which is a good read.

The last stat to worry about is power as it can be a dumping ground for extra stats (just note that the amount of crit is tied to the amount of power so adjusting one usually leads to modifications of the other).

If you do a google search for Neverwinter Character Manager you will find a useful tool where you can assemble your gear to see the stat distributions and tweak it. It also uses the formulas that sharp references to show you which stats will give you the greatest return at. Remember the same logic for dealing damage applies to healing in terms of crit to power optimization.

Adamant Restoration is probably the BIS gear for DC PVE healer but the price tag is pretty steep and you may find Dragonflight Restoration a better value (marginally less stats but far less expensive and easier to obtain).

The underdark gear has some nice bonsues as well that could be considered.

Yeh at the opening you point out the 2 flaws in the way I originally worded my first post. (I'm new so sorry about that). Your post was very informative though. I am looking to do mainly group stuff endgame while still being able to go out and do some of the solo content on my own. I want to be a cleric that everyone will want in there group and never say "oh that cleric get someone else" I understand that a set is never going to be BiS totally but what about on a slot by slot basis. I am trying to get some of my post 60 plans set up so I have an idea where to start in the campaigns. I know the gear score requirements will help bring me up a bit as well so I looking for some guidance from you vet clerics.

Ps I can answer any questions you guys may have to help better guide me.

cleric is the class least impacted by ilvl and is the most forgiving for getting into groups.

Group content is a dps race, so healing is not typically a priority except for in less experienced/geared parties.

Righteous DCs are far more popular in end game and healidons are more popular for heals than dc.

So the short answer is if you want to get into parties the high prophet set is the most attractive.

For healers, just peace meal based on your budget and the stat priority outlined above

I will work based off of that then I just wish I could get high prophet but it is unobtainable

its okay, dc is still awesome without it. also having it presents its own challenges... like survival. soling some stuff like briggins tomb, wod dungeons, iwd in general can be difficult in high prophet until your ilvl is high.

Dont dwell on it, its not in the ps4 side, so it doesnt matter to anyone really.

Get 2 dusk/2 dragonflight or 4 dragonflight or 3 dragonflight and one drow.

All or any of those combinations would work really. The mater crafting stuff is insane and since your on ps4 may not even be around for awhile. Its not needed , unless you care about having the highest I level available.
