Devoted cleric combat

I'm not sure why this is happening but my devoted cleric keeps being put into combat mode even when she's just standing at a camp fire no where near enemies. It stops me from being able to get on my mount or leave dungeons. I've taken off both of her rings to see if that caused anything but even without them on it still does it. Does anyone have any ideas of how to fix this or why it happens?

It happens all the time. I am not aware of any fix. When I was opening skill nodes to find insignias it actually prevented me from doing that for certain nodes.

Often it's because of your companion. At times my companion will 'see' an enemy that I cannot. There's a certain spot in IWD where my companion will start attacking and there's nothing there.

My DC still uses an ioun, mostly to avoid the really annoying auto-targeting that can make me swing round and land an aoe encounter on the companion rather than where I'm aiming at - but it also has the side benefit of avoiding this issue.

I've heard Fey Thistle caused this, don't know if it was ever fixed. Light of Divinity will also cause this happen for some reason. Luckily you can just remove LoD and the combat stance goes away. If it's not either of those, I would look at anything equipped/companions that has a deflect/reflect ability and see if removing it solves the problem, but if it's a boon/feat then you're outta luck.
