New changes make deflect for pvp lock better

Currently im sotting at about 30 percent deflect before the off hand feat adds 15 percent putting me at 45 percentish. With the coming changes, warlocks will be able to hit 55-60 or so percent, and then if you use bova, youll all be it briefly, be able to sit at near 80 percent or more if you go full silverys. Im using vicious in my defense for extra lifesteal, but man..super fn tank lock eh. I believe the changes will nerf the hell out of people using broken stuff in pve, but overall will be a welcome change for pvp. More lifesteal, more deflect, slight dmg increases to curses and big dps increase to brood of hadar, longer control effect on hadars grasp...we might be getting somewhere. Really hoping they cut cast times as well, since the full list is not puplished yet.

I am a returning player and was thinking on creating a new SW but I have read all the underpower issued with the class in pve and pvp, though I read yesterday the news regarding the incoming class balance. Any experienced SW can tell me if the new changes are feeling good for the class so that it might be worth it to create one instead a control wizard?

@poopoomcmuffns It's my understanding Shadow Slip will have an immunity frame, which is better than any %deflect or %life steal bonus. How quickly we will be able to generate Soul Sparks for both DPS and survivability will play a huge role. Lack of burst DPS may still be an issue...

On top of those SW-specific thoughts, PvP will still have too many underlying issues:

    Queues.
GF is still way too powerful, both offensively and defensively.
Perma Astral Shield Faithful DC with Trans Elven.
    Too much deflect.
    Too much DR.
    Too much self healing.

    Sigh...
