PVP anyone trying out WR?

The state of PVP is so horrible and frustrating (as a 3.4 IL WK, I damage no one my IL or higher) I've been slotting different encounters in hopes of finding something more effective. For the past few days, I've been slotting VP, SB, and WR rather than my usual Dazing. My initial reaction is that it could be interesting and I am going to continue to test. I don't have enough runs or data to support this, but it seems to really help against targets that are "unkillable" ... it works best in a gank where someone else can gang up and focus down a high defense target. Interested in others thoughts.

    Depending on your spec I would change your playstyle a bit. Less 1on1 and more capture support and/or backcap survival. The more you distract opponents the less time they spend getting victory conditions. This is what I used to do, but that was in the day of perma-bubble. Haven't done any recent pvp matches. Hope it helps.

    Cool Beans ... so little activity, I get to hijack my own thread!! Question: for WR in PVE ... if you are in a group of 3K+, is there any benefit in slotting it? My assumption is that at that level of IL, everyone has max ArPen and then some.

    I dont think WR debuff affects same thing as ArmPen.
    Edit: A friend just told me if you have already 60% armpen, debuff from WR becomes a buff for you.

    If you are an MI, you run the cheese and strike with SE.



    If you are a WK, your only real strike option is VP with first strike. Even though it is broken, it STILL isn't overpowered. Kind of hilarious. As a WK myself, I'm just as unkillable as an MI if I want to be. I concentrate on gap closing. Getting to nodes quickly and slowing other LS to nodes with Courage Breaker as well as setting them up to die.



    Just remember that at the top, outside of GF and MI TR, killing each other is nearly impossible if things are equal.

    My observations concur ... it actually is a tank buster IF you have help. Talk to me about the VP with FS. I never slot FS ... how does it interact with VP?
