Thought I'd bring this up as some of you probably wont have a clue about it. I have mentioned in the past that the Off-Hand Weapon adds 0 to Thorned Root damage.
I have also mentioned that Hindering Strike, a Melee Strong Root Encounter, applies Thorned Roots but actually uses the Main Hand Weapon damage to apply it.
Also it is known that Careful Attack proc's give you a stack of Ranged Aspect of the Serpent.
Now something I have been testing recently and probably why I can put out so much damage in my rotations, my specific Encounter line up 98% of the time is Longstriders > Constricting > Hindering. Then add Careful attack to this for more Ranged AtoS stacks.
Here is the part worth thinking about, Hindering Strike applies Thorned Roots from Ranged instead of melee. Testing this a lot has shown me that it actually applies some Thorned Root damage from the Ranged stacks of AtoS without using a stack of Ranged (because you are using a melee power).
So with 2 or 1 stack of Ranged AtoS the melee power Hindering Strike actually becomes less powerful on the initial hit but then the roots are more powerful due to the Ranged AtoS stacks. Whilst with 2 or 1 stack of Melee AtoS the initial hit of Hindering Strike is more powerful BUT the Thorned Root tick damage is far less powerful, as AtoS is not effecting it at all.
Thus Careful attack with the above rotation is extremely effective with other players around and Careful Attack proccing Ranged AtoS.

Also Aspect of the Pack Rank 4 fixed as it does not work.
Off-Hand Weapon Damage should be fixed to actually do something, also powers should use Off-Hand Weapon Damage in their calculations.
I could list 100 things but that has been done before

Side note, I am trying to step through a video frame by frame with XBoxDVR and it over shoots the frame I want. It appears to be a billion+ crit on Lostmauth.

I do not believe anyone has actually tested and pointed out that MELEE Hindering Strike applies Thorned Roots but uses the Ranged damage calculations instead. Also any Thorned Roots on the melee side do not use the Off-Hand Weapon damage in their calculations.
I have pointed out in the past problems with Thorned Roots and other things
