Many , MANY people are getting auto bans.. WINTER festival all over again.

Once again we have to bring this to your attention because apparently you guys CANT dessimate information and also FILTER your auto ban system correctly.

So this morning, people flood preview.. AND post links FROM THIS forum to chat.

BAM.. message, your account is banned.

OK .. SO first off this is a public service announcement, if you get into game.. DO NOT post a link back to this forum.. (OMG right)

Secondly, please provide a easy link like winter festival again.. FOR the poor souls who lose a day of gaming just because you know.. seriously cant even type right now.

@strumslinger and @yetweallfalldown - you have a whole heap of us getting banned. Reports I'm hearing (via TS because I can't get into game) are that mass bans for posting an ArcGames link. *shaking my head*

@confusedpoof arc games is clearly a spam site and you should be banned for linking it, didn't you realize this?

I thought you knew silver, the devs finally figured out that their own website counts as spam and they don't want people to spread it (I was the first person to be banned afaik )

yep, just got banned. Very angry. Made the mistake of trying to answer a guildies guestion on good GWF build, by posting a link to Lia's build.

Yes, ban their own site as a prohibitive link. My eyes are rolling so far to the back of my head they actually hurt.

Also - would like my account unbanned. Since it's the middle of prime time for me. Guess I'll ummm.... wash the dishes?

oh.. and maybe, you know , you could FILTER arcgames.com as a accepted site to link..! as soon as possible, so you can avoid another 50-60 bans later on today..

i guess its because the link had %$%$#%#!!@# ^^

And add another to the newly banned list...WUT.

I don't think it was because of the $%$%!# characters because I used the short link (http://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/neverwinter/#/discussion/1218295/interum-patchnotes/p1)

No screenshot, but the text was along the lines of: "you are posting a prohibitive link that is not allowed"

Well, more than half of my clanmates got banned. As far as i know - nobody posted any links etc. Some of them tried to login into game to find out their accounts has been banned. Even poor guy logging in just to do some professions as he's to busy to play full time since a week. I hope that soon it will be resolved. Banning half of the server is just suicide.

Interesting. I posted that exact link (the one above to the character transfer page) over the weekend when a guildmate was asking how to use Preview and I didn't get banned.

Sounds like the text was written by the Department of Redundancy Department.

Those of you that were incorrectly banned may need to contact customer support. Forum staff does not have access to game bans, and customer service doesn't do anything with the forums. Discussing bans is generally disallowed on these forums, but as this is an issue with unjust bans, we have allowed it.
