I am a returning player and was thinking on creating a new SW but I have read all the underpower issued with the class in pve and pvp, though I read yesterday the news regarding the incoming class balance. Any experienced SW can tell me if the new changes are feeling good for the class overall so that it might be worth it to create one instead a control wizard?

I just left test server and I can say at lower levels, yes, they are good changes, but this changes when you hit level 70.

I may not be considered by most the BEST PVP Warlock on the server but, I am the most HATED amongst them.

I am glad they are reworking Pillar of power for the new preview changes, hopefully now it is very worthwhile to use this power. I guess Hellbringer is getting some love after all since they are also buffing Gates Of Hell, hope the new changes make different configs other than Blades of Vanquished Armies and Dreadtheft with Warlock's Bargain worthwhile...

And here I was hoping for a significant buff to drop to encourage me to go back to maining my SW. Hell, even a significant buff to the HB Temp setup would have sufficed....

TT nerf... Their idea of how a dps class is supposed to function continues to amaze me

They made other options viable, this is good that you don't have to put everything through tyrannical to make it even do any damage. The class lacks massive AoE damage but makes up on boss fight. Everything is depending on the build cause I think that Spiritfire from damnation if this is your direction will still perform good though.
We talking pre 70 or at level 70?

There is still a lot of room for improvement with damnation and how the puppet works, namely the option to dismiss and control the Puppet to maximize on damage (Puppet beating on a immune Demogorgon for the most part of the fight).

Increase the attack speed of the basic melee attack on the puppet, similar damage of the creeping death dots and shouldn't the puppet also cause "CD" procs?

If I would have did the Puppet, I would have made it really and truly effective with your powers, for instance, each swipe would stack a DR debuff on the target that persists for as long as the Puppet is alive, buff of damage for the Warlock by 10% (On top of what we get from capstone and Damnation line), A shared mitigation (25% mitigation of "All incoming damage) between the Puppet and the Warlock, meaning, it would be a whole lot harder to kill the Warlock and the puppet.

For PvP I would have given the Puppet the same "tenacity and stat rating" of the Warlock just with the current damage, to me, these ideas would be King and simple to put into the game.

these guys have been trying to reinvent the wheel, since mod two and have failed horribly at it, just because they don't listen to ideas (among not playing their own game) given by people on the forums and in testing.

I personally give up and never again, will spend a red penny on this game, trying to support it (Until I see that they want to give just as much as they are given).

On a note, I expect the NCL will still be a fail for this class because, GF, TR are still hitting hard as HAMSTER (from a PvP perspective).

I don't know guys, I applaud you all for still sticking with the class as I have but I really think, the Warlock class will be rarer than a gold ring from Orcus with this mod (again, as a PvP main).

I may not be considered by most the BEST PVP Warlock on the server but, I am the most HATED amongst them.

I will give it a try in mod 10. maybe I test HB fury, just to spec for the best damage possible.
In case i still can't hurt some classes I will resign too.

I've been playing the lock since day one of the games release and havery adapted and adjusted with how the dev's have HAMSTER this class up. I stayed on top as top dps through out all of it. You have to experiment and adapt to the changes. I'll never abandon my class until I quit the game. Which tbh, might be very soon. This game had become very boring. The lack of challenge and end game content is extremely annoying. Anyways we all will see how mod 10 cripples our class making us HAMSTER again.

@xrawcarnage you make some good points. It's crucial the SW community works together to provide meaningful information to the development team as they have been reading our posts and listening to our feedback.

Perhaps heading into mod 10 the SW will not be what we want it to be, but I have confidence future changes can be made. I know the devs are working on another iteration of SW class balance involving the Temptation tree, which may be a perfect time to (re)address class issues.

Let's be sure to be constructive and give the devs what they need to justify improvements.
