Land Sharks (bulettes)

So, I have a quest in Reclamation Rock to kill 6 bulettes, otherwise known as "land sharks".

The only ones I know about are part of the heroic encounter entitled "Land Sharks".

When I go to try to kill one, it says it is an encounter for 15+ people. Ok, well enough.

But when I try to fight one, I can't damage it. I can't even scratch it. (I'm a DC with guardian build, power gear - tried all encounter powers and channeling divine energy at it - no damage.) And they keep going underground every three seconds or so. What's up with this? How do you damage one? Do you have to have a control mage or an ice weapon to freeze it? Are they just regenerating health really fast?

If one person can't even do any damage at all, I'm not seeing how even 15 people could kill one, unless it's just a case of damage regeneration being so fast you need 15 people to overcome it.

Does anyone have any experience with these monsters and how to defeat them?

    What is your ArmPen? Although it says 15+ people, I would say 5 properly gear for the level character can finish that.

    Those are not the bullets, I am sure by now you have found the right ones. The bullets you are to kill are directly across from your camp fire. Next to where the major encounter to close the slaad portals come up. You are doing damage, those guys just have a ton of hp and as a DC you usually dont have high armor pen and you prob are around 64... yeah fairly hard to even attempt it.

    However, their worst attacks are telegraphed and easy to avoid, which is probably gonna be the key to beating them at your level. I wouldn't recommend taking on more than one though...but if you took on the Gorgons (and at that quest you already have) then Bullettes aren't much harder.

    The map is your friend (default button M).
    Definitely not an Arc User.

    Thanks for the nice answers. I did finally find the correct bulletes at the south end of the map, purely by accident.

    The map was no help, as they were not marked. The quest marker in the journal was also red when double-clicked, saying "not on this map", which I knew to be false. (There was no custom quest marker set to block it.)

    In any event, it's all good now. I've moved on in the quest chain.

    I know now from what's been said here that apparently, armor penetration is the key to damaging the epic bulletes in the heroic encounter. And as a guardian DC, I've got practically none, as I've been gearing power>critical strike>restore. I wonder if I should try to replace all the critical strike gear with armor penetration, and could I probably use more defense? My character is a bit too much of a glass cannon the way I have him geared.
