(Solved) Lag and rubberbanding after Alliances

So, after alliances as been released on the 7th I'm having a lot of problems with high network latency.
Since the moment i start the game launcher it takes me about 2 to 3 minutes till i can make the "PLAY" button available.
After clicking the button and the game starting, most of the times the game will disconnect and I have to enter my password a few times till it really connects and it shows my characters menu.
Then, my characters take forever to show up and after clicking "Enter world" it takes a few more minutes untill i actually enter and this is if it actually enters. When it does I'm having pings in the order of 2k to 20k when inside the world.
The problem is not my internet connection because I'm able to play other online games without any issues.

Anyone else having problems similiar to this at the moment?
I live on western europe so i was wondering if it's just me or more players in this area have similar problems.

I'm not having problems in game, not really any more than usual anyway.

However, transitions to new zones, character changes, initial logins, etc - all are taking 2 to 3 times longer. Usually, the gameclient goes into "not responding" mode for a few seconds.

To be clear, when I say not responding, I mean the application itself - not an SNR. It actually greys out and says "Not Reaponding" in the window title and task bar for something like 3 seconds. Usually the screen freezes for 3-4 seconds before that. This happens everything I switch characters or change maps. Then the actual instance load starts up and it typically takes about 10 seconds. Longer if I need to patch, though that particular delay is expected.

I live far away from europe but yes, having the same problems. more occurences of crashes, snr, and the game not responding. Stupid changing of maps freezes the game before it goes loading. I wish they'd fix this soon enough but nothing happened last maintenance except fixing the alliance bug.

Ok, so after some time the slow connection got a little better, however my latency was still high enough that I coundn't play properly. I tried usign the proxy options in the launcher but that didn't help.
After talking to some friends in game they sugested me to use the secondary EU proxy server.
To achieve this I added "-SetProxy eu2.proxy.crypticstudios.com 80" in the command line options in the launcher.
This doesn't solve the slow launching time, however after the game launches the connection becomes pretty stable, and it even solved the problem that some of you guys reporded of taking to long to switch between characters and reduced the loadings times when changing maps.
Hope this helps anyone having slow connection times or in game lag.

(how can I mark this thread as solved? ^^)

I've been getting this too since Alliances went live, but this ONLY happens to me with the Stronghold map. Going to or from the Stronghold map or switching to or from a character that's on the Stronghold map will give me a Not Responding for a couple seconds. I have no problems whenever the Stronghold map is not involved, though.

I'm on the East Coast in North America, so I can't imagine that setting my proxy to the European server would help much.

Just in case the change that you mentioned doesn't solve the problem, what is the command to put it back in the original state?
