Volatile Zen Market

Any one notice the market went crazy today? made 300k ad now im in jeopardy of losing it all and more lol. Which leads me to my question. Is there a website tracker for Zax and or AH for Xbox? I know no gateway for us :( or does anyone has up to date research on trends so i can make better sense of the market? TY

I've stayed out of the market pretty much because of it's current unpredictability. Every time I've tried to dabble after coalgate i've lost money. there are no trackers.

Looks like we're on a downwards spiral now... but Protectors will kick it up again, I'm sure.

LOL. Coal (coal ward) gate, meaning the coal ward became another tollbooth you have to go thru in order to advance ($$$ for Cryptic).

Ah, ok. Thank you. I didn't know that. Well, I knew that coal wards are now another cash grab, just not about that Gate metaphor.

Back on topic, I think not only the market is crazy, but the economy in general. Prices went up for pretty much everthing (some stuff 3x, 4x, or even higher); unified elements, for instance, reached 60k+ AD a week ago.

But! If you're into making pants and shirts for the whole population, it is the other way around (let's not even mention rings)... More people making these and making their prices go waay down... And all cause of stupid ways to make the sale (say, berserker gemmed chausses selling for 150k, and a desperate newbie posts his first set for 100k, and right after that a group of sellers pile up more than 10 chausses for less than that... I mean, c'mon!!).

That's how market forces work in real life.
The Newbie isn't going to be able to stack the market with dozens, so those prices will be little and infrequent. So the mass marketers shouldn't need to panic sell. (If they are in it long term and devote IC time to Profession farming.).
If they do jump to the equivalent of a barrow boy selling a couple of cheap alternatives, then the price across the board will drop.
If enough people are happy to sell an item at a price noticeably below the advised prices of the AH, then that's what the value will be.

That's the trend... For pants and shirts, prices are going down. They used to average 130-160k, now most of them average 100k or less. Rings are way worse; used to be 120k+, now they sell for 60k.

I think the price for garments has dropped due to the introduction of inscribed garments and underdark gear that sets a price point against which all other shirts and pants are measured by prospective buyers. Also, as more characters progress their profession, it makes sense for the market to reach saturation periodically.

Price for unified elements is being driven up due to the upcoming professions event. It also fluctuates based on drop rate in EE quests and other sources. It will probably come down over time.

As for the ADX...who knows. In the end, devs/whales/others can play with the economy if they so choose, flooding it with Zen/AD/resources/whatever. Unless you are sitting on hoards of something, you're in someone else's hands.

The only fact you can depend on with 100% certainty is that NWO is a...GAME.

Coalgate refers to the fiasco not that long ago when a much desired feature -- price reduction of wards -- was not delivered to xbox as announced and this switcheroo was not communicated in a transparent or timely manner. Worse still, wards were taken out of the new tradebar store all together, leaving the playerbase high and dry. As a result, many people felt swindled and left the game. The ADX has been rising steadily ever since.

    Unified Elements.

    1. Players that pay attention to upcoming changes know that Unified Elements will become much more rare when the EE quest system replaces vigilance. Players will no longer able to select quests that reward UE. So, farming UE becomes random.
    2. Upcoming 2X profession event (June 9th) will allow upgrading BI forge for half off the needed UE and BI. Now is the time to stock up. During the event they will cost even more. I suspect over 150,000.

Most of the other items that skyrocketed have similar things happening, but I admit, there are some that make no sense at all.

I farmed over 100 H.E's in Drowned shore trying to farm UE!!! i read so many mixed reports on if you could eventually get a task offering the U.E. that i tried it myself. After 100 H.E's with 0 unified Elements i believed they couldnt be farmed! Did something change that im not aware of or does RNGesus just hate me that much?

HEs in Drowned Shores dropping UEs? That is new to me. Only way to get UEs there, as far as I know, is thru vigilance tasks and one UE show up in very, very rare occasions. Trying to farm UEs that way is a real waste of time.

^agreed but what does this mean then?

I guess there may be a few people who farm thru vigilance; ludicrous imho, but possible.
