Cannot choose item from chests.

Hello,
I have been playing for the last two years and just recently created a new character and in the process of leveling him up, I have hit a bug, twice.
I ran a dungeon the other night and I had a key for the second chest, but when I tried to click one of the two buttons in either chest to choose an item and them click Accept, the item in the chest would not stay checked so I could choose Accept. Frustrated, I exited the game.
Today while finishing the quest for my first Artifact from the Sage Shop, I have the same problem. I have three items to choose from and when I click on one, the item doesn't stay selected so I can then click Accept.
I have already tried logging and verifying files, and it is only on this character, not my other two.

OK, that was unusual. Instead of clicking the button next to the item, I clicked the item itself and this time the button lit up and I was able to choose Accept.
