Hello everyone,
I haven't been playing for a very long time. I remember to hit 70 when the vigilance quest bundles required me to finish 16 quests in total.
As soon as I reached 70, I just left, as all interest I had to play was consumed by vigilance quest grind.
I returned roughly 3 week ago and this is what I enjoyed so far:
- The reduction of the vigilance quests by half a good decision, and 2 days ago I also tried the new Elemental Evil questing and it's a smooth and steady experience. Well done on the latter;
- I don't remember if this was the same way when I left, but Bind to Account items, like Underdark Rings, Equipment, Refinements items(!) and even SH strongboxes is simply awesome. This allowed me to make another alt, and equip him with the extra effort my cleric did;
- The increase of the AD refining limit was a very pleasant suprise aswell. I'm yet to tell his to my friends who left for Diablo 3, I bet they won't beleive me. (let's hope I can bring them back);
- First, when I saw VIP in ZEN market, I thought it was a bad thing (first impression stuff), but then I read carefully the levels and what it does. It is a great addition for dedicated players who play everyday. The teleport, profession XP increase, lockbox key to attempt the luck everyday and even the identification scrolls are handy. Well done here too;
- The new 2 skirmishes and Castle Never are a welcome addition to the instance list. I enjoyed participating and completing all of them. The new tactics I found within this instances, gave me hope that in future you can make more different instances with creative tactics attached to them;
- I only remember to see rank4 enchantments drop with Fey Blessing and never seen mobs drop enchantments. Rank 5 drops in many places were a welcome sight and allowed me to catch up in the refinement levels;
- I used to only dye equipment as the change appearence option was very expensive. I noticed it only costs 5k AD now and this was an excellent change!;
- The possibility to build or join a custom queue group is finally here. Thank you very much for this tool!;
- The bronze, silver and gold performance calculation is a nice addition aswell;
- Before I forget, the new Maze Engine campaign and Dwarven King chapters are very well made, I enjoyed every quest about them. The questing, the lairs, the narrative, all very well done, thank you! I really had fun with these quest and running away from a dragon never crossed my mind, but I'm glad I heard what Makos said.
Also, there are some aspects I had some stuggle with:
- The Prophecy of Doom skirmish, I have been trying to get gold performance in it (need rising ring of focys), and only accomplished so once. I don't understand what my team is doing wrong, everytime we get silver. We open the rifts as soon as they emerge, and yet it is not enogh in most cases. Please, if I'm missing something, MOD, CM, someone tell me what I'm doing wrong.
- The numbers, they are so big, I don't know if other players feel the same way, but for me the number are just too big, I mean the ratings, damage done, healing done, etc. Is it possible that the game had it's all values divided by 3? I'm not good in maths, but what I mean is to rescale the game to smaller values.
- Thanks to the latter instance additions, IL does not always outrules the brain, but on all other instances it allows players to ignore tactics and just kill the boss. I think this won't be a problem if you manage to keep adding instances in which the correct positioning is more rewarding than damage dealing. (Example Throne of the Dwarven King, CN and Demog). Maybe the grap between enchantment, insignias, runestones, boons, artifact quality, etc could be lowered, so it in the end it's more of a linear stat growth instead of "exporencial".
Thank you for improving Neverwinter and giving some of us who returned some hope,
Almondum.

Type one is to kill the mob jumped out from rift.
For this one, most of us consider it does not work right as it is next to impossible (if not impossible) to get gold in the first phase.
However, usually, it is top silver, top silver, gold and final "gold".
Type 2 is to open the rift when it emerges. The key is not to open green one. Open the purple one and clean out the mob ASAP and get to new purple one ASAP. Some of you can open the blue one. The is no (low) point to open the green one which just waste your time.
