What armor enchant?

raptoahraptoah Member, NW M9 Playtest Posts: 44 Arc User
I'm quiet new to playing a op and i asked myself what armor enchant I should get.

My focus would be on pvp because I think in pve i don't really need an enchanment.

When I choose a shadowclawd can i really tank a lot more? and more than i could using a negation?
Or should I get a Elven Battle to make sure i'm not controlled the whole time?
What would you reccoment?

Shadowclad is fantastic IF you can get it to a very high level, at which point it's a kind of deflect + negation enchantment combined.

Barring that, negation has been the go-to tanking enchantment, elven battle the PvP enchantment, and the elemental ones (fireburst, etc) if you want to be a bit different and boost DPS a little. Honourable mention to Briar.

With the upcoming changes, however, negation may become a necessity.
    (Or run Protection aura)

was thinking the same, negation would be must-have....another year wearing blue... :(
Please fix Zhentarim Warlock companion's skill "Arcane Warping" to the originally intended "Arcane Boost"

Pure -> Transcendent Plague Fire weapon enchantment giving 80damge/20 seconds for 500k+ AD is a joke.

For devotion elven might be the best choice. Tank OP doesn't rely too heavily on their shift, but devotion gets burst healing out of it.

Although, just an update on this - I should have mentioned that you do have some options if you don't fancy looking like Tron.

Aura of Protection = +20% DR at tier4. And Circle of Power = +25% DR for its duration. One, or both, should cap you, effectively freeing you up to use a different armour enchantment.

Then again, you could just run Negation and then not feel compelled to run one (or both) of the above.
    Up to you.

I'm currently testing out Aura of Prot + Fireburst enchantment and it seems ok, but I haven't gone up against Orcus yet on my new Pally either - and he's pretty much the challenge bar for tanking these days.
