Feytouch vs Vorpal PvP

What is BiS for PvP?

I heard that feytouch may not proc consistently playing an an TR.

    I just tested this with a friend. For the sake of the test I only used duelist flurry and he was geared for PVP.

    My Stats
    24K power
    50% crit chance
    70% RI
    Scoundrel path

    Using a T. Vorpal I did 173K damage in 72 hits of DF before he died.
    Using a T. Fey I did 178K damage in 72 hits of DF before he died.

    We tried this test 3 times each enchant and the data was all very close to that listed above.

    I swapped my 6K power boon for 6K more arm pen which took me to 108% RI and down to 18K power. We did the tests again and found basically the same data.

    We are still scratching our heads as to what we could be missing. We tried to minimize the variables and thus I did not use any encounters or dailies in the test. He did not do anything to counter my hits (just stood there).

    All data was collected with ACT.


    What am I missing?

    My static crit without enhancement (boons,pets..) is 50%.. with boons proc'd I am around 60%. As I was pure scoundrel up until yesterday, I have had to use offensive enchants for arm pen, recovery and power. I am geared for PVP at all times with gear focusing on maximizing recovery and therefore letting crit slide a bit.

    High tenacity may be hurting the vorp results. Also for Trans Fey, don't you have to hit with an encounter first so it can proc? I am not sure doing only at will's will work

    Ah yes.. I totally forgot about using my encounter powers to establish the 18% reduction in target damage -> 18% more damage for me. I will redo the tests adding in one encounter to the duelist flurry and then post my findings. Thanks for catching this.

    all good, I used to switch out fey for pvp and vorp for pve but now I am too lazy. Vorp all day every day
