I did a internet search and found various opinions on if professions were worth the effort. It seems like for the most part professions do not add much to a player and their ability to get the best gear they can get.
For fun I am getting most profs to rank 20 on my characters to open up prof slots.
Are they worth getting to 25?
Besides for fun of course.
I have read so far the Jewelcrafting (for the rings) and Leadership (various opinions) are worth getting to 25.

Jewelcrafting is good for making your personalized ring, altough those may be replaced by the legendary rings of Underdark, i heard the drop rate should get better in Mod9??
As for the rest, im sure it does have some utility but im not sure its worth the time of upping them. Thanksfully there much shorter to up than leadership, wich is a crazy long "grind"
I suppose you could say Weaponsmithing really has no reason to go to Lv25 other than the Legendary title. In fact it could be easily argued that every other profession has something of value past Lv20 in the form of reinforcement kits or materials or whatever, but Weaponsmithing has nothing at all. It doesn't have anything notable from Lv1-Lv20 for that matter.
I think Artifacting is a dog past Lv20 as well, but all the others... why would you stop at Lv20!? lol

So, if you are in a guild, going to at least 23 makes sense.
The bigger kits may or may not be worth it, depending on your build and wealth (regular kits are +50 stat points and cost 15k AD to make, greater are +100 stat points and cost 50k AD and an egg, and the epic ones give +200 stat points and cost 100k AD, an egg, and a unified elements).
