Once you have joined a queue group the IL at the time of joining remains. If you change your IL by changing equipment the queue still reports the IL at the time of joining. If you manage to reduce your IL below the required level for what the group tries to queue for, the entire group can not queue.
The queue leader will still see the original IL of all players when they joined the queue and can lead to confusion.
