Xen store ofc. Not sure if it's guaranteed or whether you have to pray to RNGesus to get it from the purchased locket.

^^ Correct, it's RNG. You either get a Lesser Dread enchantment, or you get a Goat (augment companion). I have a guildmate that opened 3, and got 2 Dreads and 1 Goat - clearly that's not a big enough sample size to give you an idea of your chances, but they're at least 50/50 I'd say, probably somewhat in favour of dreads.

Combat HR's do not have "rotation" per say like Trappers. Seeing as I have played Combat in all Mods I can tell you the best "rotation" for a Combat currently on Xbox is going to be Marauders/P.Growth/Fox Shift. That gives you the lowest cool down timer, plus, you have Serpents Weave when you play Combat which gives you .5 second off cool downs each time you shift (dodge). Combats cannot spam encounters like a Trapper, so Dread is not the best option for a Combat. For a Trapper yes, for a Combat the best Weapon Enchants are going to Plague Fire/Lightning/Bilethorn + Seeker's Vengeance. Dread is viable for a combat, but you need to be using a lower cool down rotation than that 16 second one you were talking about with Longstrider/Growth/Constricting. A Combat does not root, like at all, except for P. Growth so Constricting really is useless to a combat hr. You also would not be running the Lostmauth set as a Combat, it makes zero sense as your crit chance as a Combat will be in the low 20%'s until you are in the mid to high 3k IL's. You need to be running the Seldarine set because it procs extremely well with your Wilds Medicine combat feat; you will basically be a tank. If you want to do damage as a Combat you need to go Skirmisher's Gambit and stack Crit/Power/Arm Pen. If you want to be a super tank that no one can kill, Go Lucky Blade's and stack Defense/Deflect/Life Steal. I have played both ends of the spectrum. If you have any combat questions or are seriously thinking about going Combat hit me up on XBL, Gamertag: F Hope

Combat may not be able to spam encounters like Trapper but it can still benefit from using all 6 encounters, although I doubt Dread will work well for the melee tree. Combat doesn't have synergy with Crit like it used to since the rework. Dunno why they bothered with adding a Crit Sev feat in the Combat tree - would have made more sense giving it to Archery.

Agreed that Lostmauth set isn't ideal for Combat. I use Seldarine set myself as I stacked Power/Deflect. However, damage is still very low compared to the other two trees. Not sure Marauder's is a good choice, though, as the ranged version is fairly useless. The encounters I use are Rain of Arrows/Swords, Fox and Cordon/Plant Growth. Five of the six encounters deal damage and one provides party wide dodge.
    Our pain is self chosen.
