I've been playing for a while now and have a heck of a time jumping... Why is it so difficult? I can not seem to get the timing down in Lostmauth. Everyone seems to bounce right thru and yet I can not. Is there something I am doing wrong? Is there a stat I can improve to get me more vertical leap?

don't tap the jump button, hold it down through the entire jump.

also, depending on your class, hitting your dodge button at the right time during your jump will extend your jumping range. this takes practice.

there is no stat that will help with your vertical.

You are not the only one. I was once in a group with someone who failed repeatedly at least 15 times.

For what it's worth, I've noticed the Lostmauth lava zone has specific areas and trajectories where it is easy to make the jumps, while in others you are going to burn. Trial and error and you'll find your way through. You can also try to spec such that you can just run it or most of it without dying. Or run with a perma bubble who can keep you alive. ;-)

I troll with Into the Fray in ELoL lava jumps and it is hilarious. Player sets up jump and boom 2x movement speed and lava lmao. But seriously we have all had issues with this part but it should be easy by now.

For the lava part i just run trough it most of the time... there is always a pally anyway with the bubble...

The part where it bugs me a bit is the one where you jump and there is fireballs, it make me sometimes bounce all over the place. But oh well, its not really anything major to complain about. The jumping button combination is a bit odd, first time i see something like this but considering the game come from PC where you have a gazillion button on a keyboard, they had to sacrifice essential buttons down the road.

I always hug the right side on any of the jump required zones. Works 99% of the time. Funny though if you see players with an item-level of 3,000+ still failing on those. LOL so much for skills! Just saying.

I had problems with the jumps for a long time. Especially with some classes. But, a few things that help - 1) keep pressing the button, as mentioned. 2) try to look up when you are jumping - the tendency is to look down at your feet, and 3) try to relax - stress makes it worse.

A Pally can bubble themselves or you when you are jumping through the lava. A GWF can go unstoppable if they have invincible/immune, and so on

A bummed controller always helps... don't know how many times I've clicked my shield up on my tank.. he drops like a rock.

This. Always stay to the right to avoid the fireballs on the first bit. Then on the second bit with the roundish platforms stay to the left and go round. Unless youv'e got a Pally with the Bubble up then walk straight through it.

lol, I do the same sometimes for laughs with a perfectly timed Longstriders Arrow into something while people are jumping, the left door is best for this as people tend to run past the Golem and start jumping

Just learn to time your jumps in the first part I run/jump through the center while you guys hug the wall. lol

Hold down the 'a' button through the entire jump as others have said. Also, if you're a rogue you can switch on the movment speed passive (i think skillful infiltrator) and itll make it a breeze.
